Fanndís drew inspiration for the creation of the hairpin line from nature and the strength of women. No matter what life has to offer, we all flourish in our own unique way. We are strong and beautiful just the way we are, rise up and give life color. Droplaug is the name of the pattern on the glass bead, which takes its name from the pools of Iceland in combination with the drop in the center of the pattern, which also represents the beginning and center of all life. Fanndís handcrafts all the glass beads and metal work with care over an open fire, and as a result they are all slightly different.

Droplaug er nafn munstursins á glerperlunni, sem dregur nafn sitt af laugum Íslands í sambland við dropann sem er í miðju munstursins sem einnig táknar upphaf og þungamiðju alls lífs. Fanndís handgerir allar glerperlurnar og málm vinnu af alúð yfir opnum eldi og eru þar af leiðandi allar smá ólíkar.
